Junior and Elite rider information for 2009 VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
As of today the 16 year olds have the right to move to junior or stay 16 until the end of the season. Our second year juniors' must move to Elite or move to the Challenge . The riders need to understand if they are planning Australia they will need all the UCI points they can get to make the National worlds team as championship riders can only go as National team members, or stay challenge. This is a UCI rule and a CCA amendment about the second year Junior's. If the Championship riders do not earn UCI points they are eligible for a down grade to challenge for the worlds but if they so much as have 1 uci point they can not down grade. All riders changing Cat. will lose there Alberta Cup and CBA western National points, However if they raced the Morley races they still count as a Qualifier. 2008 World Championships, China All of our riders at the Worlds get back today and bring a couple of World plates with them. Samantha, who has been training at the UCI's WCC in Aigle, Switzerland, since October 2007, won the North American ranking in 2007 and finished the season 6th in the international standings. Members may be allowed to ride their bikes along with our float, of course dependant upon the weather that day. If it is wet/slippery we obviously do not want any of our members on their bikes, in order to prevent any accidents. The decision on whether or not the members are allowed to bring their bikes will be made the evening of Nov. 24 and will be on the website. We encourage all of our members participating in the parade to dress in their BMX gear and/or in the Christmas spirit. The organizers of the parade do ask that we have no one dressing up as Santa, as the real Santa will be leading the parade.
