Super Seven BMX Training Camp

The Provincial Peak Performance Team is hosting a Training Camp at the Airdrie BMX track on Saturday June 02, from 11:00 – 3:00 and is open to riders of all ages and all skill levels. The camp will be coached by 7 of the Provincial Teams top athletes: Calvin Mcrae, Justin Tuchscherer, Eliane McAdam, Morgan McAdam, Tanner Vandenhoven, Chase Kelln, and Daina Tuchscherer. The coaches are determined to put on a very unique and exciting training camp and guarantee to make a difference in your riding. They have all attended many different training camps and coaching programs and all have years of race experience behind them. They are anxious to share their skills and expertise and promise a great day of riding, learning, and fun.

Registration can be done on location prior to the camp. The Super Seven Camp is $35.00 per rider and all proceeds will be used towards a race project for the Peak Provincial Team. Riders are required to show up a minimum of 1/2hr before the camp and need to bring running shoes, full riding gear and bike, and have a snack and water.

Open Track for May 7

Before our first official coaching and race nights (tomorrow and Wednesday respectively) there will be open track tonight from 5:30 to 7:00 for licensed and registered riders.

Try BMX & Garage Sale

If you’d like to come out and give BMX racing try, we’ll be hosting a Try It day on May 26 from 1:00 until 3:00. Come down a little early and get set up with some gear if you don’t have your own. You’ll need long tear-resistant pants, long sleeves, gloves and shoes. If you don’t have a full-face motocross style helmet we can help you out. All you need is a waiver that will be available at the track and a check for $40 as a deposit that is 100% refundable if you decide not to join the club after you’ve tried it out.

Also on May 26, starting at noon, we’re hosting a garage sale for anyone who has some used gear or equipment they’re looking to sell. The garage sale will run from 12 until approximately 2:00.

A few people have been in touch wondering when they can bring their registration down the to the track. Starting next week, we will be taking new registrations on Monday nights from 6:00 until 7:00!

Open Track & Track Work

There will be open track all week from 6 – 7 for licensed riders that do not require a loaner bike. The loaner program will be running again once the season officially starts. Parents please note that you must be at the track while your kids are riding!

This coming Saturday from 12 until 3 there will be a work party to continue getting the track and other facilities ready for the year.

We are also hosting a registration day at the track from 1:00 – 3:00 on Saturday, April 21 so we hope to see you then!

Airdrie Members and the Olds Indoor

Airdrie BMX is happy to announce that members can ride the Indoor in Olds all winter for free. The club has donated $1000 to make this happen. You are still required to have a licence which you can get from Alberta Bicycle website. Please bring proof of payment when you go. Have fun and support this great opportunity that has been presented to all Alberta riders.
