Our
club is a non profit amateur sport association and our
continued success is linked directly to our great volunteer
base. An
organization such as this can only be successful by the
commitment and dedication of our volunteers. Everything
you see at the track right from our officials, coaches,
registration, concession, and so on is completely run by
volunteers. With
a facility such as Airdrie BMX there are countless hours
spent maintaining our track and facilities, event
organization, and general club operations that are solely
run on a volunteer basis. Unlike
many other amateur sporting organizations, Airdrie BMX does
not collect a fee at the beginning of the season that can be
worked off through volunteer hours.
We prefer to have volunteers that feel like that they
are part of the club and volunteer because they want to see
the club succeed and be an integral part of their child’s
or their own amateur sport experience. Volunteering
at Airdrie BMX is not an exclusive club within a club.
We welcome and encourage anyone at anytime that is
willing to donate their time to the club.
Any volunteering no matter how big or small is very
much appreciated and your generous donation of time and
effort is what will continue to make Airdrie BMX a great
club to be a part of. Volunteers are essential to Airdrie BMX and are needed for every district race in Airdrie. Each race night there will be a sign-up sheet on the Moto Board for the positions required to make the race possible. Races can not take place unless all positions are filled. Positions required per race are:
If you are interested in learning any of these positions or in helping out in Registration (moto building), please contact Krista at 403-980-7767, or inquire at the Registration window. Training is available at the track for anyone willing to participate. Getting involved is a great way to meet new people and great way to spend the time. Some positions also give you a front row seat to watch your child race. There are countless ways to become involved and volunteer with Airdrie BMX and we welcome anyone at anytime to come and ask questions and let us know if you would like to be involved. There is a listing of contact names and numbers of the Airdrie BMX board members that would love to help you become involved with the club. Feel free to contact us at anytime!
