Airdrie BMX Association                    587-885-1595

Alberta BMX Provincial Cups and Canada Cups

at Airdrie BMX, August 2019

Technical Guide

as above

Parking and Access to the Track

The City of Airdrie is doing construction on Main Street and has closed a portion south of 6th Avenue. Information on the work itself is here:

The access map follows:

Parking is limited at Fletcher Park. There will be permit parking in the north lot adjacent to the track. This area can be accessed from the north by using Veteran's Boulevard and Main Street.

Another parking lot is available on the south side of Fletcher Park and can be accessed from 1st Avenue NW (just not via the northern portion of Main Street).

The club has been very generously sponsored by numerous individuals and businesses.  We have LOTS of items to be raffled totalling over $6500!

Note that all raffles with the exception of the Bison Fridge and Rad Ride Bike Raffle are SINGLE DAY raffles.  This means that the items on display on Saturday will be raffled and delivered to the winners on the SAME DAY. Likewise for the entirely different lineup of items on Sunday!

The 50/50 draws on each of Saturday and Sunday will be drawn and announced in the break between second and third motos. If not claimed in a timely manner, the 50/50 will be REDRAWN before mains.  If still unclaimed, a new ticket will be drawn every 10 minutes until a winner comes forward.

The raffle prize winners will be drawn before mains each day. Ensure you claim your prizes at the raffle table quickly, as a REDRAW will be made for unclaimed prizes after mains.

This means you need to KEEP YOUR TICKETS! It's possible that even if your first raffle ticket is unsuccessful, it could still be pulled later in a redraw.

You can find the fine print for the raffles at the bottom of this page.

Dash-for-cash prizes will be awarded to motos drawn at random on both days. These prizes are either B-Line Bike Park passes or cash generously donated by Baber Design + Build and FormWorx Foundations.

Race Awards will be presented at the conclusion of racing. A podium will be set up at the finish line once riders have cleared the track.

Special Notes

All Airdrie club members should be prepared to ride in the flag lap on Saturday morning. If you have a Canadian flag, please bring it and wave it proudly as you circle the track.

Representatives from the City of Airdrie will be doing surveys that will help us with future promotion of the City and of BMX.  Please participate if you are approached!

If you have questions, please approach a volunteer wearing a red lanyard or a board member wearing a white one. We want to ensure you have an excellent race weekend!
